Atuntaqui is a city that catches the attention of tourism either for its colonial history, its Spanish past, or simply for its beautiful landscapes. • Carvival

These parties are held in mid-February, because also with the cantonization parties. Every year in the city of Atuntaqui this fair is held, here we can find the best clothes and fashion with the best prices.

• Christmas

When performing the holidays for Christmas, Atuntaqui offers its visitors beautiful decorations through the streets and Christmas carols. At the end of the year in Atuntaqui there is a pregon by the streets, in which they reflect and make a small revision of everything that happened in this year but in a satirical way. Here people use very ridiculous  politicians and celebrities costumes but this is very fun, for everything to have a good sense of humor and also when midnight (New Year) comes to burn a huge old year doll, also a party is held in the square for all those who want to attend. All this is traditional in the city of Atuntaqui.

• The Imbabura factory

The factory Imbabura was restored and this has become a national parimony of Ecuador which makes it one of the main tourist attractions of this canton. Here we can find restored the great textile machines and a little history of this beautiful city.

• Graffiti in the center of the city

You can find many graffiti in the center of the city which represent things of society. It is very nice to see since they are very well elaborated works.

• Cycling

But if you are a person who likes sports you can practice cycling. Atuntaqui offers an excellent way to the river, which is excellent for your physical activity.

Or if, on the other hand, you are a person who likes to go to work, let me tell you that this is the ideal place for you since Atuntaqui is a fashion reference in the province.

The food is quite good and offers variety in its dishes. The most typical food is fry and guinea pig, as they are typical of our culture.
